Description: Location - North London. My client is looking for a Joint Team Manager to contribute to the delivery of quality assessment treatment and care management service currently delivered through two teams. You will also be expected to contribute towards exciting new developments within the Learning Disability Partnership including modernisation of day services, redevelopment of residential & respite services, delivery of Individual Budgets, enhancing safeguarding of adults etc. You will be part of the Partnership Management Team reporting to the Head of Service.

With at least three years’ management experience in an assessment team, you should have:
Clear views about appropriate values and philosophy for adults with learning disabilities and their implications for good practice.
Knowledge and experience of assessment and care management and review under the 1990 NHS & Community Care Act/Self Directive Support.
Knowledge of key legislations such as Our Health Our Care Our Say; Valuing People Now; Putting People First ; Mental Capacity Act & Deprivation of Liberty etc.
Experience of working with adults with complex needs e.g. Mental Health, Challenging Behaviour.
A flexible approach and willingness to work in an environment of change and innovation.
The ability to manage budgets, engage and motivate staff through change and contribute to service planning/service improvements within the Partnership.
Experience of Managing / Direct Supervision of staff.
A relevant qualification from Health or Social work e.g., RNLD, Psychology, Dip. SW, OT etc.,
